same hereI went SNFO because I didn’t want to pay for PRK and there’s a better chance of getting jets. I’ll be happy in any platform but I’d rather be backseat of a jet then front seat of anything else.
What the other guy said is right to the best of my knowledge but anecdotally the people I know that have gone through recently said it’s been a lot of jets, “they’re giving away jets like candy” was one quote from a friend of mine lol. Fingers crossed it stays like that for another yearWhat I should’ve said is which aircraft’s have the most need of NFOs/what you’re most likely to get
Don’t forget E6’sGrowlers, F18’s, P8’s, E2’s
Flying is fun and I wanted to serve my country in some capacity. Best of both worldsWhat are yalls reasoning for picking SNA over SNFO or vice versa? I feel like each has pros and cons. Want to hear what you guys say.
This is true to some extent. 3710 has some additional restrictions regarding instrument flying but you’ll learn thoseI heard IR is pretty much the only thing that 100% transfers over to navy flight school down the line
Good to know I’m glad I’m still prepping for my navy career in a way getting my instrumentThis is true to some extent. 3710 has some additional restrictions regarding instrument flying but you’ll learn those
That’s the way to do it. The more practice problems the better. I even used chatGPT to make similar/harder ones when I ran out. Find your weaknesses and drill those until you can do them in your sleep.Anyone who got a high AQR. I’m about to use the gomez drive. If you used it, what was your strategy when studying? As of rn I was gonna just go through the practice worksheets until I’m amazing at them. I previously just used the astb app before my first take
If theres a little tip I can give I want to say don’t “memorize” the questions. Its good to go section by section to know the concepts and which equations apply. No question on the exam will tell you “hey use x equation from y section” so practice to recognize what its asking and what formulas to applyAnyone who got a high AQR.
