01JUN26 SNA/SNFO board

I spoke with my recruiter today to sign some paperwork he checked and said only ISEL was reviewed and regular applicants haven’t been reviewed yet. He said this is the first board since September 25 to accept regular applicants and there are hundreds of applicants this time. Also told me to expect January date for ocs but could be moved to an earlier class if there is availability.
Hopefully other ISEL hear back soon. Congrats tho!!

I’m suprised they’re making you guys do the PRT so far out from an OCS date. I was under the impression you would need to do it 40 days prior even if you had one in already.

It's a thing now required by Mr Hegseth. Apparently, according to the HMC that was my PRT proctor, quite a few people, mainly ODS, were coming to their school a bit out of shape or just beach balls. This way, they can catch it early and get your weight right

the whole reason I applied no one’s hiring any 1500 cfis, my CFI has 1700 hrs said hasn’t heard back from any of the regionals
the whole job market is so trash right now… but it will get better. It kinda comes in waves. If you look at the age demographic of pilots, it’s estimated that around 50% of current airline pilots will reach mandatory retirement age sometime in the next decade. So… I guess if you’re still working your way to getting your commercial, CFI(I) (and getting a job as one), etc. You’re not really in too bad of a spot.

yeah I’ve heard this, currently have a loan out at a 141 working on my commercial. Since they’re not even hiring CFIs anymore I’m trying not to be in a position where I’m stuck without a job when I’m done. Last CFI they hired was in October 25 almost all of the ones at my school have 1500+ hrs
