I don't understand how they can even begin the regular board without selecting ISEL applicants yet. How do they know how many slots are available? Unless they've already finished ISEL applications and are purposefully withholding results just to frustrate us

They probably have reviewed ISEL applicants and the issue is there’s no class dates available for 6 months so the processors aren’t in a rush to issue FINSEL letters and dates.I don't understand how they can even begin the regular board without selecting ISEL applicants yet. Granted, I’m in the special situation where I’m 1SNA-2NFO, but I was given an OCS date for NFO about two months ago for August. Interestingly, I haven’t seen other NFO ISEL applicants post their dates yet, and I’m curious if other 1SNA-2NFO applicants have also received an NFO OCS date.
I was only told the availability of SNA slots. I'm assuming it's different for NFO and I'd guess the reason you heard back for NFO and not SNA is because of OCS availability. Could be worse though. Supply is backed up until 2027 and a lot of them are on OHARP for months afterwards waiting for an NSCS slot.

I suppose my point is that I don’t know why I would’ve been given an NFO date when there’s NFO ISELs that haven’t heard anything back.
It seems to me that if I was given an NFO date, the other NFO‘s should have theirs, but they’ve not been given them for some reason.
That leads me to believe that they also probably have SNA dates, but they are also being withheld

Edit: I think that’s what happened last September
The majority of I-SEL applicants on the 15SEPT board heard back a week prior to the board on the 8th. Some did hear back October 15th but it seems like an 80/20 split.

Yeah I think I remembered the 20% that heard back in Oct but forgot about the ones that heard back early lol
