    Dry Firing

Revolver != Semi automatic. Revolvers work differently and the firing pin does not move from its spacing.

    Dry Firing

Continually hitting the firing pin with the hammer when there is no resistance (ie from a primer or snap cap) can knock the firing pin out of its proper spacing. I have been told this does not apply to striker fired weapons, but have none and therefore have not looked further into the issue.

    Any volunteers?

Im not so sure this is a good idea. I dont like the idea of humans messing around with weather. Disrupting a hurricane and manipulating one of the key ways that the Earth balances its global energy budget just sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Letter of Introduction to new command still required?

For what it's worth our skipper (a SWO) mentioned that sending such a letter was still common practice in the Navy. He didn't specify that it was common practice for the SWO community, and thus it is my impression that this is such a common practice in the SWO community that he thought it was...

    Very sad - Cooper firearms

I think by bringing up restrictions on other materials (whether explosives, medications, fertilizer) we expand the discussion to what nittany03 briefly mentioned. It raises the question, should the government be in the business of punishing people for what they havent done? For instances there...

Air Force Guy Headed to Whiting

In a situation where an aircraft is over-G'd and has to be put on a stick, do they classify that as a Class A Mishap? The aircraft isn't technically destroyed, but if its not safe to fly I would imagine it wouldn't matter if the plane is still in one piece or several.

    Remington Hedges Bets?

You are referring to limitations for hunting purposes only correct? Because most states do NOT have 5 rd limitations for semi-automatic rifles. CA I think does, and maybe Illinois, but the majority of states do not.

    Remington Hedges Bets?

Some proposed bills have singled out thumbhole stocks but most have not. I think in California they got wise and started including thumbhole stocks in their legislation. The original Clinton Gun Ban did not consider thumbhole to be a feature of an Assault Weapon.
