    Playstation 2 flight simulators

    LOL post that question in the IL2 forums and you'll get flammed horribly!! There's a number of things, personally I don't like the flight or damage models in the CFS series. IL2, specifically Forgotten Battles, is just much more challenging. Give it a try and you'll see ;)

    Desptie the fact that I got turned down, I'm not to worried. I've been told its not really a reflection upon me, but just that there is nothing really available currently. Plus I'm still rehab'n my wrist from my snowboarding accident in Jan. So it really would have sucked if I got the slot...

    Playstation 2 flight simulators

    I would reccomend that no one play any of the Microsoft Combat flight sims...they are a joke. Get IL2 Forgotten Battles. Yeah its a memory hog...but its worth it. By far the best/most realistic WWII era sim. Wish I had the money to finish my private though.....serious serious withdrawl

    Question about carrier A/C

    I've noticed that most of the carrier A/C have a series of green/yellow/red lights usually on their landing gear. Even the X-35C has it. I've also noticed that they change color durring approach. What are these lights exactly? They there to help the LSO or something along that line?

    Flying with parents?

    Anyone here gotten to fly with a parent who is a military aviator? I actually got to "log some time" in a Coast Guard HH65 when I graduated HS in '97. (helps when your dad is the XO) One of the best times of my life...flew out into the Gulf..looked for out of season shrimpers. Pretty cool...

    New selection process?

    Thats pretty much what I had to do. They were holding off on the PRT and all that until the board deemed me qualified. But due to the backlog, none of us who applied after october have gotten selected. We've been told to reapply this summer.

    Anyone else get turned down recently? Did anyone who turned in their package AFTER October get a slot? Timing is everything. I had a bunch of friends apply for OCS last spring...all got pilot slots first try. Seemed like if you had a pulse they'd take you. A few of them got in with 2.2...

    PRK Surgery
