    Logging time

Yeah, I know all about Hobbs, but that doesn't exist in military aircraft, as we all know. If it is strap-in to shutdown, well crap, the amount of time I've sat on a carrier deck waiting for the call to start would add up! I assume it's startup to shutdown.

The Air Force needs help winning yesterday's war

The procurement process is terrible, I agree. That being said, we're in an era of super technology... we're not building simplistic A-4s and whatnot anymore... you have to pay for the technology. Granted, it should be cheaper, there are all sorts of things inflating the price, but that being...

Congress OKs Va Tech-inspired gun bill

And you've pointed out the potential failure of logic... if people don't subscribe to logical thought processes, they won't buy off on logical arguments. You'll see it on both sides of the political spectrum, it's not just limited to Liberals. I enjoyed reading your lengthy reply previously...

Congress OKs Va Tech-inspired gun bill

Case in point, Adolf Hitler. He didn't lead his country into Naziism with JUST guns (sure, they helped for some points), most people were swayed and swooned by his speeches and leadership. Who cares what they were invented for, the fact of the matter is most guns in the USA are NOT used for...

The Air Force needs help winning yesterday's war

I didn't read the article, but I have heard the arguments against the Raptor and they tend to be very ill informed. First, when has the media ever got anything correct on a weapon system or warfare, ESPECIALLY aircraft? Second, you are not privy to information that the Pentagon is privy to, and...

Eddie, I am disappointed in you. You are smarter than this statement, as only someone who is ignorant and believes everything the media and movies tell them would state this. Tell me how my 15 legally owned firearms are used exclusively for violent means? I'll give you a head start, they've...

Go to an embarked squadron, very different situation. LSOs don't stand duty, DHs don't stand duty (obviously), Training O's don't stand duty... not a lot of JOs left to do it... our single seat brethren stand duty MUCH more often than we ever do. Obviously land-based is a lot different story...

http://www.aimsurplus.com I've bought a lot of stuff from that site. Fax them your C&R license and then once they have you on file, you can order direct from the website. They'll ship to you and ONLY you, right to your front door. I doubt MD has any crazy C&R laws, especially with longarms...

I have no hate for HS, whatsoever. I'm just stating that the "tacticool" patches and velcro rank are utterly ridiculous. I've never seen anyone else ever do it.

    Different platforms/different lifestyles?

HE may be a future of Naval Aviation (and he sounds pathetic at that), but to assume that every two-seat pilot thinks that way is complete and utter ignorance. 1. Collateral duty and ground job situation MUCH better in a two-seat squadron. 2. Duty rotation is MUCH, MUCH better in a...

Um... no... The original Mosin-Nagant 1891 was designed in... 1891. The 1891/30 is a 1930s version of the standard 1891... same design with some small changes. The M44 and M38s are literally just cut-down versions of the 1891/30. The design pre-dates Stalin's regime. They are a blast...

One thing I learned through flight school and whatnot... most people pick their platform without truly understanding what it entails. Trust me, when you start getting into the jet world, you had no idea it would be that way. I'm sure it's the same for P-3 and helo guys. You just don't have...

I have a crew member. Look at the airplan or a fighter squadron flight schedule sometime... you'll learn that we fly just as many, if not more variety than a helo squadron (at least HS). That's true, a valid argument... time to train for jets is very long. Very true, seems helo guys...

100% agreed on BW3. They have the best non-local wings, end of story. Unfortunately, they are not as prevalent as you think. The only one in California is in Rancho Cucamongo. I buy their sauces online though so I make my own wings with them.
