Could be wrong but I think he's trying to say he smoked the weed after he spent time active duty i.e. he should already "know" the military drug policy... not that he smoked it while he was on active duty.

Landing on a taxiway and landing long & running off the runway are both totally jacked up but I seriously doubt any those pilots chose to do it. Those two NW guys chose to do what they did.
Every pilot has or will commit some sort of aerial buffoonery, some more severe than others… but a...
I haven't seen the range since TBS in 99...not because I don't want to go, but the enlisted Marines in the squadron has priority for the range slots and there are never any left for the O's.
It's not gonna help you or hurt you for promotion anyways...

Went out this past weekend to a buddies ranch out in Edwards County Texas. The guy has too many whitetail but won't let people in to slay them. He has some Axis deer also...I got a decent size buck. Shot one little Whitetail spike also. Saw some turkey but never couild get a shot.

“Push” is used to tell your flight to switch to the designated freq, with no reply or acknowledgment required, i.e. “Devils push 274.0” or “Devil 11 switching 274.0, flight push”
“Go” is supposed to be used in conjunction with other terms, such as “active”, “clear”...
Well, based off the Marine Corps 2010 AVPLAN, the first squadron will be VMFA-332 from cadre status in 2011 and ready to go in 2012, based at MCAS Yuma [pg 7-5]. Looks like the plan will be basing the first 4 F-35 squadrons at Yuma, with MCAS Beaufort getting them next.
Again, according to...
"you believe"? oh come Gator, quit playing dumb 'cause your not fool'in anybody... you know damn well they have free porn (well, it's the playboy channel) in their rooms! it's also on the big screen in the kitchenette area. ...and I might be mistaking, but I seem to recall watching the playboy...
Squeeze, I suspect you don’t want to “rob” OSUbeaver’s house because in order to “rob” his house, somebody has to be there … if you are gonna “burglarize” his house, that’s a different story.
Me, well, I’ll stick to both, ADT & a gun…

I’ve seen D squadrons flying a single seat hornet from time to time… my guess would be that D squadron you saw has a few of their jets in “mod” or at NADEP as well as a couple hard down jets so they “borrowed” a jet or two from other squadrons in order to support that Nellis event.

Yes, there is an opportunity to transition to the KC-130 in the Marine reserves.
Here’s last fiscal year’s transition/conversion requirements… MarAdmin

it'll be 5 1/2 yrs as a Capt when I pin on Major next spring... I was selected on my first look in zone. I think 5 yrs is the current going rate for Capt to Major.
SF
you are eligible for ACP when you are within 1 yr of the completion of your 8 yr contract (or 6 yrs if you fall into that category), which began when you earned your wings.
So if Aug 2017 is 8 yrs after your winging date...you are eligible to request ACP Aug 2016.

EDIT.... (after...
Just your annual FYI ... looks like it dropped across the board. Except for Hercs, chopper dudes stand to make the most this year around.

- buy enough F/A-18F's to fill either MAG 11 or 31 (rock paper scissors to see who gets it)... maintenance is at one base, the F/A-18F can goto the boat to continue "tac-air integration", and the Corps still "owns" FAC-A.
- as legacy Hornets are replaced with "F's"...
among other things... but yea, train a dude for 3+ years only to send him to an IA billet right out of the RAG, or worse, at his 2yr mark right when he's getting comfortable in the jet & at a time where he should be getting quals.
I think almost as worse is seeing dudes barely getting annual...
from home with a CAC & reader, I just accessed the airworthiness website, got an account, and have access to that website & the NATOPS manuals found there.

Huh? we're talking fighter & attack aircraft in that video... that kind of music is befitting for chopper videos, not fighter/attack! ... but what do you expect from the French...

"Sticky", huh... like that Skipper's one of your bro's... make sure when you check into your first gun squadron to call your Skipper by his callsign... just shut up Cone, and go stand some duty or stock up the coffee mess... :) (all in jest)
SF
WTF dude, you're already kissing a Skipper's ass? Not even trying to be subtle about it... you're not an O-4 yet, are you? I couldn't find the "throw up" icon but this should work ... :yuck_125:
yea gloc or maybe disoriented after graying out ... I thought maybe CFIT after misjudging altitude out of the last baileron roll?
too bad either way, two warriors lost.

“we have her…”, hilarious, kinda like liberals & conservatives vying over the moderates vote at election time…
I’m not a PC zealot… just a realist who knows what works for me doesn’t work for everybody else… I know Macs are a solid computer, costs a lot because of that. People shouldn't...
Mac's...the greatest thing since sliced bread...according to "mac fanboys"... I'll never own one. (it pained me to buy an iPod).
For those generalizing how shitty PC's are because of a bad experience with them, I'm typing this on my 6 year old archaic HP laptop that I have never had a problem...

thanks bud, I believe that answered my question... I plan on getting my ATP multi-engine... so if I plan on renting single engine planes, I still need to take the mil comp to get a commercial SEL to fly those ... is that correct?
SF
figured this thread would suffice to post this question.
first off, I've never flown private & I know very little about private flying & renting planes, so I'm gonna show my ignorance with this question...
second, I want to keep my studying of "gouge" & test taking to a minimum...

that's all I was trying to get across in my post... that the captain of that flight should have known ALPA would have backed him/her so he/she should have made the common sense decision & got those passengers off that night.
My "anti-union" stance has weakened over the years A4 ... I'm slowly...
that's the thing, that Captain could have been a "hero" in all this (or at least in the eyes of the passengers & the public) but because he/she decided to let others make the decision that night, he/she became a "zero" I'm with you A4, as the captain, I'll be damned if I'm gonna sit on an...
hmm, some advice for the FNG checking into his first squadron, hmm ... yea, if you're told by another O-3 in your squadron to call "Captain Dee's" for something about your "orders" & he gives you a number to call, take a couple minutes to ponder that before picking up the phone...

I’m familiar with the B’s gunpod… I was being a little facetious. Hopefully it’ll work better than the Harriers gunpod.
It’ll be interesting to see how long the Corps will be able to maintain such a high tech & expensive aircraft. The avionics on it is going to be badass, when it’s working…...
it's interesting how we've gone back to the "no aft vis" concept with the JSF .... suppose the designers figured with all the technology on the JSF, there would be no need to look aft.
wasn't it the "advance in technology" the reason we built the F-4 with no gun? Guess I shouldn't beat a dead...

a quick glance at the numbers for both wings, it seems to be running around (1) E2/C2 selection for every 10-12 strike selection... been a few volunteers for E2/C2 but generally been the #2/#3 dudes getting selected for E2/C2.
with the new syllabus that will eventually be coming online, a...
out of curiousity & my professional development, where is it written that you can fly an IR as a VR? I know there are routes throughout the States that also have a VR coincident with a IR but not all, and those IR's I have flown required an IFR clearence to get on... as a matter of fact, AP1B...
He's full of shit & doesn't know what he's talking about ... tell him to quit being a boot & stop passing bad gouge.
the Marine Corps will be flying F/A-18D's & Prowlers for another 8-10 years... you can't tell me that they wont be making any more WSO's/NFO's during that timeframe...
