.."and this is how I pick up the Admiral's dry cleaning at the exchange, and set up his official travel..."
Methinks a very good idea to stick to the flying stuff. :)
Everything they "offer" for just $25 a year, can be found via the WWW through the VA or AMVETS, and your Fleet and Family Service Centers.
I see no value added.
Friday afternoon hop...
I flew an intermediate T-34C hop...way back when...with a former F-14 driver who could only fkly non-ejection seat aircraft now due to an ejection (or two). We badly beat up on a C-2 driver doing tailchase and then flew a great low level.
Landed, did the maintenance...
If finances threaten to be a mess. Navy Relief is a band-aid option. It will be a very low interest loan that you'd pay back when you finally get your pay un-f#$&ed.
Beats ruining credit which can lead to other bad things happening to you...
Gotta love NYC.
"We've been going about this all wrong. This Mr. Stay Puft's okay! He's a sailor, he's in New York; we get this guy laid, we won't have any trouble! "

This man, my father-in-law, received two DFC while flying Spooky 13 every night for several years in Vietnam. He was also overhead during the Tet Offensive. He's never been one to brag and keeps the medals in a case on a shelf. He'd only bring it out if you specifically ask.
A humble man...
I did a burner go in an F-14D at Reno Stead after the air races. High DA on a hot humid day, means that little caveat about best judgement in NATOPS came into play. Restriction in place: AB it was.
Nice....
What effect were they trying for at 4:16 besides Phantom meets rock.
This is one of those videos where I wait for the inevitable fireball...glad I didn't see it here.
Worse yet...landing on the boat with spolier brake selected and getting those puppies locked up for all to see as the wings swept coming out of the LA.
Checklists, checklists, checklists....
We had a rash of wing sweep motor failures in the late 80s early 90s that caused the wings to freeze where they were, often aft somewhere.
Luckily not asymmetrically.
Cool pic.
Do this NOW!!! Do not delay. They will be your advocate and know the difference between medical discharge, medically retired and medically disabled, etc...
I used the DAV. They are your friends and on your side, the Big navy is not.
Best quote: "We don't want to get nailed from behind."
Nice landing. Not a calm as the Lancair IFE video, but certainly much faster from start to finish.
Working up for deployment at Fallon when it started. Deployed on the Lincoln into the Gulf as cease fire was called. Still a pretty hot zone.
Pretty sure i took the picture below.
When dealing with the recruiter make sure he understands you want to be an officer.
Be politely persistent and follow through with whatever he asks you to do, but don't become pestering.
A lot of times you will find yourself doing what the recruiter could possibly do for you, just do it. Keep...
