In general, you aren't going to get any high demand schools like TACP, etc in the IRR. It's just a waste of money, AD people who NEED the school have a hard time getting it. Probably your best bet would be to vol for a MOB that might get you some training, then look to extend, etc.

Indeed, the NAMI whammy can come at any time. I went to API as a Pilot, got the whammy for depth perception, they just slid me over to NFO. In fact my winging orders from Bupers said 1310 vice 1320 because it never got entered into the computer that I went NFO vs Pilot. Not that it matters...
