I know my eyes ain't what they usta be, but it looks like the #2 and #4 in this formation both have the number "7" on the tail.

Flew on P-3A BuNo 152169 back in early 70's. We had one P-3A older in the 150XXX range which we used as a project aircraft but my memory fails me on the BuNo.:( An interesting website here with lots of detail, although I found some erroneous dates.

Looks like it is a way to mount a flash hider without overheating the barrels. I would think the flash from that thing could be a bit distracting to the pilot after dark.

To acquire an evil black rifle in either .223 or 6.8. I understand the argument about ammo availability in .223 vs 6.8, but for what I will be using it for that's not a huge consideration. I probably shoot less than 300 rds a year anymore. I'm wanting something that will work out past 50 yds up...

Better a straight in semi-controlled crash where shedding the wings between the trees somewhat cushions the impact, instead of a stall/spin straight down, nose down impact. Just sayin'...
