I'm still not sure what my minimum is. I've heard Probationary is passing, but others say that it isn't. My buddy just finished and he was of the opinion that you should be able to do at least 10 more pushups than your minimum because you will lose a lot through the event and from fatigue.

Everything that I've heard and read is that the absolute minimum is Satisfactory for the In-PFA, and Good for the Out. Plus, I don't think that the word "Probationary" equates to anything similar to passing. I'd make sure to hit and exceed Satisfactory to be safe.

Even though my run still sucks, I'm going up there ready to push all day, everyday. That way I won't be surprised if/when that becomes the reality of the situation. As tough as it's going to be during the process, I look forward to the progress that will be made physically while up there.

Passing the IST (a Satisfactory on the PFA charts) for males 20-24 is 37 p/u, 47 s/u, and a 13:30 mile and a half. For males 24-28, I think pushups comes down to 34, and they add about 30 seconds to the run time. If you can get Satisfactory on the In-PFA, your DI will make sure you'll get a Good on the Out-PFA. Just make sure you keep working out when you become a candio.

I was there for indoc week but got taken out due to an npq. got corrective surgery and am back in. Know your gauge and be loud is what I took from the program the short time I was there. Dont get stuck in the med hold area like I was, not the most fun place to be. Do a lot of custodial work around the base, but the Chief in charge was a really great guy and kept spirits up the whole time. Can't wait to get back!

Thanks man, hope to see you guys before the hell is let loose on Sunday afternoon. That is perhaps the most enjoyable moment, seeing people's faces when the drums are banging in the stairwell and all the candios are screaming at you.

Yeah, that Sunday afternoon madness will be an interesting wake-up call. Have you secured lodging for Saturday evening?

The stairwell in new Nimitz isn't as intimidating as the old one (this is true about the entire building).

Which class were you originally in?
