Do we still get a 10% discount or so if we sign up for some kind of card while at OCS? Also the DEP handbook says we need $300 for OCS, not sure how they came up with that figure.

Before I graduated college I took some time to see if I could do any of the strokes comfortably back and forth which I can, if there's breaks in between like desertflyer says then I think I should be fine, I'm probably gonna need as much help as I can get though for flight school.

Curious about the 3rd Class Swim test, I don't have the spare cash to spend on a lot of lessons before I head there but how much help can I expect to get before it affects my progress overall?

OR says my status has been under "Booking" for almost two weeks now so for everyone who's cleared background check wise you're probably in the same boat.

OR said everything was good last week with the citizenship stuff, so just waiting now with everyone else.

Colombia and Costa Rica, the document my OR sent me says I need to establish residency in Colombia for that citizenship but the Costa Rican one says I just need to be born abroad to a citizen so that's the prime suspect right now. :confused:

Interestingly enough, I might be held up for my FINSEL because of dual-citizenship issues (biological parents were different foreign nationals) and thus needing to renounce citizenships I never knew I had if that's the case, since my OR made it clear processors were trying to get as many pilots...

I'm keeping track of everyone's results as they come in (just cause I have a thing for stats) so I colored coded it and made some edits to this spreadsheet, (go numbers). Maybe it'll help the following Aviation board's applicants get an idea of stats they look for...

Not to count my chickens before they hatch, but provided this is still accurate, how much would OCS change then if it's been dropped to 10 weeks, would the last two phases just be a week shorter I'm guessing?
