Breaking Bad if you somehow haven't seen it yet. I also liked The Last Kingdom and Kilo Two Bravo.

In my personal experience, I prefer traditional running shoes, particularly Asics. I've found that cross training shoes have less support and/or cushioning so theyre lighter and easier to do exercises like squats in, kind of like minimalist shoes. If you really want to get your shoes dialed in...

Best Way to Improve Push-up Score

I think the 100 pushups program is good if you have time. http://hundredpushups.com/ Just start at the week you can do and work your way up. If you don't have a lot of time, like less than a month, I'd give this one a try. http://www.stewsmith.com/linkpages/pushuppush.htm

    sTUPID qUESTIONS aBOUT ocs

Possible stupid question here. I lost enough weight while training for OCS that my clothes look pretty baggy on me now. I doesn't bother me enough to go buy new clothes at this point because I'm a cheapskate, but I also don't know my current measurements for clothing. Should I know my...

    OCS Injury after MEPS?

I just got off the phone with him. He didn't seem like it would be a big deal if I got surgery. Just that we would have to update the information in my medical history. Other than that he just wanted me to update him on the status after the MRI.

    OCS Injury after MEPS?

I haven't asked him yet. I was going to wait and see if needed surgery. Should I go ahead and let him know?

    OCS Injury after MEPS?

Hi, my application is in for the May 18th board, and I've been having some noticable pain in my knee during and after runs. It was bad enough that I went to an orthopaedist to get it checked out. He told me that it could be ITB syndrome or a meniscus tear which really worries me. I have an MRI...

Critique on ASTB section study method...

They tell you the answers in the practice session. I went through it like 20 times. The method I used involved drawing a compass and orienting it to where North would be depending on the heading. I had the most trouble with SE and SW.

The Doctor is in! Ask a Flight Surgeon!

Howdy, I just submitted my application to the May-ish aviation selection board. SNA is my first choice and SNFO is my second, but now realize that I will not get SNA because of a strabismus surgery I had when I was 4 years old. The difference in the alignment of my eyes is not noticable and I...

Any solid advice for taking the ASTB second time?

This may be a little late, but for the PBM part I found that staying as focussed and calm as possible was key. Kind of like driving in Houston. If you freak out you're gonna have a bad time. I played these multitasking games to try to get used to focussing on multiple tasks at once...

    ASTB-E/APEX 4 Experience -DEC 2013

No there is no pattern you can follow. It's all random. The red arrow does not appear on the compass. There is an arrow on the map that is oriented in different directions, so say the arrow is pointing right, or EAST, then you would turn your drawn compass 90 degrees so that East is where North...

    ASTB-E/APEX 4 Experience -DEC 2013

Howdy! My test results were 66 9/9/8 This thread helped me out immensely in preparing for the astb-e, so my first suggestion to anyone reading this is to go through every page of this thread to find study resources and anything else you should study. I prepared for the exam using Peterson's...
