My buddy who is a scratch golfer looks at it like insurance - you pay a couple hundred bucks to ensure you have the correct shaft length, stiffness, club face, etc. for your specific swing speed before you sink $1k into a whole new set.
Sure, if you're a scratch golfer. Which I am most certainly not. Like I said, I still got fitted by a trained/certified/stamped/approved pro. And I don't know if there is a price difference between that and the slo-mo thing. My point is that if you're not a scratch golfer and there is a difference maybe that difference is better spent on something like balls or beers.

This. I took two sessions with a strike board, launch monitor, the whole nine yards, and demoed the clubs I wanted based on what felt good and I hit the best. The shop I went to threw the fitting in for free if you bought clubs at the end. If nothing else, especially for us hackers, golf is mental. If you're hitting clubs you know are "right," it's one less thing to bug you on a bad day.

And it's not just the shaft flex that matters; it's also the lie angle, which comes from how you're shaped. Maybe some people are thoroughly average, but I take a 1 degree upright lie, and Ping goes up to 5 degrees upright or flat.
Buying new clubs is for suckers. Get last years model with a little wear and tear on them for half price and no discernible decrease in performance.
Or get new clubs like I did at the end of the year, with a similar discount so they can get them out of the store and move in the new stuff. Buy skiing and golfing equipment in the offseason when there are deals to be had.

Never was a huge fan of TMBG...although the cartoon rendition of “Particle Man” on Animaniacs still cracks me up.

We're jumping around between at least three different bands.

Anyway, a green dress? What about a blue dress?

NSFW

uh never mind, I'll leave out the YouTube link for this one. (It's Bill singing alternate lyrics to an old Elton John song.)

As @Jim123 said, you just added a third band to the mix.

We now have:
-Barenaked ladies (did they become a kids band or was that just a one album thing)
-The Proclaimers
-They Might Be Giants

Can anyone pull in Ween?

But I also enjoyed the Tiny Toons TMBG video.

I want to go skiing this winter but it looks like all the good resorts will have annoying quarantine rules.

I picked up alpine touring kit for the winter. Going to earn my turns. Chairlift optional.

Such as? From what I can tell, the West Coast resorts that are open are making it work. Many of the Tahoe mountains have a reservation system to keep the numbers down.
