Did you know that of the roughly 10,000 New York Coronavirus deaths, almost 3,800 of them didn’t even test positive for Coronavirus, they were just “presumed” to have died from that? So not only are autopsies not being done to verify that the cause of death was actually Coronavirus (or related), now people that have never tested positive for the virus are being categorized as Coronavirus deaths. I’m not saying this virus isn’t highly contagious or even extremely deadly to certain demographics, but it is not what it’s being made out to be.

If you go skydiving and the parachute doesn’t open and you are positive for Covid, the cause of death listed on your death certificate will be Covid.

No they didn't...that would be covered by the "historical average."
Here’s a graph depicting 2019-2020 pneumonia deaths with the “historical average”. Did they release a new anti-pneumonia drug this year? People must’ve stopped getting pneumonia this winter because the death rate has really dropped off a cliff ever since the Coronavirus came along. Oh wait...

I think that the eventual historical accounting of this will be that there are plenty of mistakes to go around for everyone but that there were lots of unknowns for a new virus that drove people and countries and organizations to certain behaviors. Seems that most countries set up their pandemic plans for something like SARS or Ebola where carriers have fevers, etc but not for a virus that is contagious when people aren't presenting symptoms. Even if we had started scanning temps of everyone who came in to the US it wouldn't have mattered because of asymptotic carriers. Same for early attempts to contact trace. Of course our understanding of the virus and reaction to it wasn't helped by China's initial response or the WHO's initial tepid response and no call of pandemic until March. Nor was it helped by our own Country's leaders (on both sides and at many levels) not taking it seriously. Early post mortems have shown that there were plenty of accurate white papers from various agencies on the threat of a coronavirus pandemic back at least a decade. Both parties have been in power in that timeframe and have both de-funded public health efforts.
One of my undergrad professors helped found a company making microchip-sized blood test kits (onboard MEMS controllers to divy up a single drop of blood into microdrops and send them into specific test modules). I'm thinking that tech (if it works) will be profitable shortly.

This is absolutely not true. You’re taking a satirical meme and turning it into a false reality.
Oh man, you’re totally right! No one would be skydiving right now. It’s a non-essential activity! What was I thinking posting that??

(It’s called satire.)

You must be the Delta guy yelling at people on guard all the time.

Just joking...(but seriously, do you work there?)

I'm not sure that's a legit graph. I went to the address in the upper left and the CDC isn't currently publishing a graph like that. A quick google shows that the graph seems to be only posted at forums with discussions like this.
