I have seen multiple posts about the medical forms DD 2807 1/2 and DD 2808. I have seen some say that if you send them to the fleet processor they will get them stamped to be valid for a year or two. My question is how do I send them to the fleet processor? Is there an email or mailing address I should use? Planning on doing my medical this month, but not submitting until June. I just want to make sure I get this step completed peoperly. Thank you in advanced.

If you look at your OCS checklist you'll see one is good for a year, and the other must be done within 90 days I believe. I'd double check to be sure.

Sir, I know how long they are good for according to the checklist. However, multiple people have stated that CNRC will extend the expiration date to a year or two years. I just need the information from the ones who have done this so I know where to send them off to. Thank you.

How ofter the candidates are asked for songs? I memorize the Star Spangled Banner, but not the Anchors Aweigh and The Marines' Hymn. I read from post #391 through post #394 mentions if they ask for the Anchors Aweigh and The Marines' Hymn, it means they want candidates to fail. That was in 2013, not sure still be true in recent years. Being a non-English speaker, I find it's so difficult to memorize those songs.

Many people in our class were asked to sing at least a verse or two from one of the songs. It's best to know them both. My suggestion would be to download both the songs and listen to them while you're in the car or have downtime. It sounds kind of dumb but you will be able to memorize them alot easier. My biggest regret prior to OCS arrival was feeling like I could've studied more. Just keep at it man....and if you can't quite get it down don't beat yourself up over it....just remember that you will still have plenty of study time once you arrive. Good luck to you!

You should have them all memorized by the time your 8th week inspection rolls around. My class got together for pass down at the end of the day and sang one or two everyday leading up to 8th week. Helped a lot imo.

Kevin, when I submitted my OCS package back in 2013, I submitted the actual package to the OCS processors in Millington TN and all the medical documentation to BUMED. So I had my package separated into two separate parts, OCS Package, and OCS Medical. Not sure what the current process and procedure is, but I'm just bestowing you with my own personal experience. You only have to memorize the ones you think you'll actually utilize once you commission.

These are all great questions to ask your officer recruiter (and/or processor - if they're your main point of contact) who can give you the most up to date and accurate information.

While you're at it, they can also tell you when you're likely going to be shipping out to OCS.

I asked my OR for reasons why a finsel wouldn't be given after getting pro rec'd and he didn't know. Any insight you could give?
