I thought they don't look at any medical related items on the application? Once you get the NAMI PQ letter that's the end of it until the flight physical at OCS correct? Maybe @NavyOffRec or @RecruitingGuru can clarify this?
There are waivers for medical items and non-medical items. The board is a professional board so they look at things that would be related to your professional background which would include non-medical waivers as that goes to your professional background. A medical waiver does not, so what if you had a hernia at age 10, that won't affect your judgement in a leadership position, well I hope it won't.

Indeed, there was! I had to get a medical waiver for a skin condition I had when I was young, but had effectively nullified by the time I grew up. Do you think that affected their decision?
Are you sure you were at board? I was selected for SWO with a legal waiver. And if my scores and GPA can out weigh that then you should have been a shoe in.

Luckily I don't have any medical or legal waivers but was borderline on one part of the physical... just curious if the board sees your MEPS results and or med waivers. It's crazy a 67 OAR got denied on the SWO board. Also, it seems @RecruitingGuru disagrees... he replied to my question with "no"

LETS START A DEBATE

Applying: SNA SNFO
OAR: 67
AQR: 7
PFAR: 4
FOFAR: 6
GPA: 3.00
Age: 22
Sex: M
Major: Cognitive Science
Prior Service: N

I still believe they consider the whole person concept but things to possibly consider are
was your degree from a state college or from a for profit... trust me there’s a difference. If your weight and height on your package are within regs possibly ??? If you’ve ever pissed off your recruiter and office they can bubble in not recommended on your package

idk know dude you also list on the SWO spread sheet that your OAR was 62 and your GPA was 2.92. I just smell something’s up.

Also that 4, even if you’re only up for NFO, is not going to do you any favors.

Indeed, I was going off memory when that reporting data to the SWO spreadsheet - I just remember the OAR being in the 60s - but I texted my recruiter to get that data double-checked and he said it was actually 67. This confusion includes the GPA, as my UC doesn't count community college classes into the GPA visible on my transcript. It's visible as a 2.9, but my recruiter assured me that he did the numbers, and it comes up to about 3 when those are added in.

Was swo your first choice? This might be a classic example of overqualification and them believing that you won’t take the offer
