Chernobyl on HBO. First episode is up. Damned good so far.
Concur. As a primer, recommend reading the Wikipedia article about exactly how they managed to get that reactor get out of control. So many different factors that can alter the neutron flux. Can’t wait for episode two.

I want to see that... looked like Narcos but with special forces.

Narcos is waaaaay better

I also enjoyed Ozark, I'm a Jason Bateman fan

If you like cop/detective shows, go on over to Amazon and watch Bosch.

I sat through at least 3 episodes of Ozark at work and just couldn't get into it. I keep seeing it mentioned, but it never did anything for me. Chernobyl is pretty amazing on the production level. I've only seen the first one, but will catch up when I go back to work.

Besides some other great shows out there, something that's become a favorite at work with one of my crews is "What We Do in the Shadows." It's what I've missed from The Office after Season 3...but with vampires. It's not uncommon to just have one of us respond to someone else and say, "Geeoff."

Just watched episodes 1 and 2. Powerful, gripping. I did not realize how much worse it could have been. Thank you for the recommendation.

And I’ll admit the Soviet era helo action was pretty neat. Hip-H’s and Mi-26’s, I think?

Found this article about the helos of Chernobyl. Most of them are in a radioactive boneyard still:
The Forgotten Helicopters of Chernobyl

Saw "The Cold Blue" a while ago at a screening at the National Archives. Amazing restoration of the Memphis Belle footage.

I just binged all the episodes a few nights ago. Wow! what an amazing show. They even managed to include an accurate and scientific of how it happened in the first place with both engineering and human factors.

The Handmaid’s Tale

Just started watching. Interesting so far. Big takeaway for me (unmentioned in the show) is that the 2nd Amendment is not just for hunting and target practice. The Constitution (all of it, not just your favorite parts) is the only reasonable defense against tyranny - foreign or domestic.
