I have a question. Do we have to complete another series of a physical like MEPS or NAMI while at OCS? For example, will they complete another eye examination while at OCS? Or will they go based off of my MEPS physical & my NAMI flight physical thy I was qualified for flight with.

On my FINSEL letter it said “all applicants selected for aviation designators would be doing the OCS comprehensive flight physical evaluation upon arrival at OCS”

But what if I’ve already completed the full flight physical with NAMI? Like I’ve already been physically qualified for Student Naval Aviator. I have the NAMI letter saying that, so I guess my question for whoever knows is if I’m still going to have to compete the physical there since I’ve already been qualified for Student Naval Aviator.

“Based on the flight physical examination of 06 September 2018, a waiver of standards is granted for duty involving actual control of aircraft as Student Naval Aviator and duty involving flying as Student Naval Flight Officer. Submit in accordance with enclosure (1).”

This is what my letter from BUMED stated.

I called my recruiter yesterday. He said “they” seem to be having some issues getting the official list up. But since I asked he told me I’m PROREC Y in the system.

He also mentioned they’re having some issues filling the early May classes.

Looking for some advice again, I talked to a current Navy pilot and she was very helpful but I ran into a problem. I told her I have 20/20 vision overall, 20/20 in my left eye, 20/30 in my right eye (correctable to 20/20), she told me I'll fail my NAMI if I don't have 20/20 in both eyes. I went to get my eyes checked out to see if I was a candidate for PRK and the doctor said I may end up with 20/25. I'm not really sure what to do at this point, everything I have read said up to 20/40 and correctable to 20/20 but now she said I'll fail.

It’s 20/40 uncorrected but correctable to 20/20. Maybe when she became a pilot it was different.

I’ve alreqdy done NAMI & was qualified as SNA. I have 20/30 in each eye with a 1.00 astigmatism. So you’re good brotha.
