Look wink, I obviously struck a nerve when I made that collective comment a few months back, and obviously the diaper shtick has gotten under your skin. I'm sorry if I made you feel bad on the internet.
First I noticed you refer to diapers was a couple days ago. I told you then you don't know what works me up and it certainly isn't anything you say. Nothing I read here makes me feel bad. Neither does anything I type make me feel superior, powerful, sanctimonious, or belligerent, which you must crave. Now, if you would just go back to the time out corner, I am going to have a brief exchange with some people I respect and have a chance (small as it is) to learn me something or change my mind.

recall what you know about political affiliations in the general public
What I know is that most people aren't that political in their personal or professional lives, and the fact that there are more Democrats or left-leaning people in academia doesn't mean anything on its face.

I presume you're a proponent of market forces and consumer choice. With ratings available from places like Heterodox Academy, if people are that concerned about radical left indoctrination, let them simply choose not to attend those institutions.

Instead of whining about it... Just. Let. People. Choose.

You're nibbling around the real issue here, Brett, which @Python1287 and @wink are alluding to or saying quietly--they feel that that the literally majority of institutions of higher learning are radical leftist laboratories which push out more propaganda than scholarship. In their paranoid view this condition is entrenched by design and intractable on its face.

Objective scientific research, peer-reviewed social science scholarship done in good faith, and uncomfortable but objective and well-supported historical research conflict with the right wing narrative and propaganda that the conservative establishment shoves down the reactionary electorate throats every day.

So it must be false. It must be liberal indoctrination.

Why do you think places like Bob Jones or Liberty, or PragerU have sprung up? Why do you think something as fundamentally stupid as Conservapedia exists? It's the false assertion that their must be two equal sides to every argument. A purposeful false dichotomy for every academic subject.

Scientific consensus on global warming? Must be a left wing conspiracy.

Overwhelming evidence for evolution and a billions of years old fossil record? Scientists falsify carbon dating and hide fossils.

New historical narratives which paints our nation's history in the genocidal light it rightly deserves? Must be anti-american leftist bias.

Reality, in their mind, has a left-wing bias.

One can believe that colleges are run by left leaning individuals, and that evolution is fact. Assuming that anyone who questions college proffessors is some right wing loon strikes me as gaslighting.
The day after Trump was elected, my college President sent out a school wide email saying it would be okay to skip class, and that there would be a period of mourning. This would not occur had Hillary been elected. Everyone exhibits bias, not everyone is professional enough to leave that bias out of there jobs.

Ian Bremmer and Kevin Rudd discussing Bremmer's new book "Us vs Them" which had some interesting observations. If anyone has read the book, would like to hear a review.

I’ve been enjoying Preet Bharara’s show recently. Also enjoying his book, Doing Justice.

I know this is an old post and I'm not going to get into this debate, but I did want to point a few things out.

Bob Jones has been around for 92 years, Liberty U. a little newer at 48 years, I wouldn't say they sprung up. Both provide quality educations. I have several friends that have graduated from both schools and have gone on to very successful corporate careers (C-Suite in Fortune 500/1000 companies). Never heard of PragerU.

When it comes to Evolution its abundantly clear that institutions of higher education have zero tolerance for a differing opinion. Ben Stein made a movie about it.

It takes faith to accept evolution as fact Always Sunny had a funny bit about this. There is also this film that dealing with Evolution vs the Biblical narrative of Creation/Human HIstory, Is Genesis History?

Now back to "What are you listening to?"
