NPQ'd E-2 but not C-2

Selection is on the horizon for me, and I'm trying to get some clarification on being NPQ'd for E-2, but not C-2. Says only aircraft I'm restricted from is the E-2C on my Anthro sheet. E2/C2 is one pipeline though, so how does that work exactly? Thanks.

Quit bragging.

What it means is if you select E2/C2, you're going C2s. Your anthro sheet will be the envy of everyone in your E2/C2 class. Enjoy living in villas, collecting per diem, and only seeing the Boat during the day on "deployment".

I would refuse to let anyone measure your anthros again!

E2D may be a little different and since that is the way E2's are going......

Congrats! You're living every E2 pilots dream!

If you select E2/c2 you'll fly the C-2...until they replace it with an Osprey...

They're different, but not different for anthros. All the dimensions are the same. It's just a big glass cockpit. You get a kneeboard with the trackball and keyboard for the T4O (whatever the preferred nomenclature is now).

Best explanation I can think of is it's a typo. But it's a typo in the OP's favor, so go with it. It's the best deal in Naval Aviation.

The same thing happened to my son. He qualified for everything except E2. I begged him to go C2 (he went VFA), but, it ain't my life.
