You do hit on a big point that is sometimes lost in this debate, that there aren't that many females that want to go for the 'combat arms' in the first place.

Aside from the other challenges of integrating women into the service, the push to integrate women into other sections of the service seems entirely a top-down effort crafted by men rather than a populist movement supported by women. We all know that manpower is done by setting a target of X and then turning whatever dials that can be turned to hit that target. What happens if women writ large simply don't opt for those jobs? In the civilian world, engineering and computer science programs have trouble recruiting women. It's not because these programs are closed to them, they're just simply choosing to pursue other careers.

We now have a target of 25% females for submarine officers. What happens if (probably when) the Navy falls short of goal remains to be seen.

Frankly, in most high level policy discussions you would be hard pressed to prove the collective IQ and maturity was higher than found at any given frat party. Or so it seems based on the product of said real world expert officials. Not to speak of politicians.

Surprising or not most higher level folks can actually read or write decently, the one thing a bureaucracy can produce in volume is paperwork.

Those are VAQ-133's SH flight suits these days; they've had them since before the G transition. You know, the whole A-6 airframe Vietnam heritage thing. Amazon picked well there, too; J-Lo is a good dude and former boss of mine.
