Shipyard workers are generally pieces of crap. When I spent time in the shipyard, we had workers stealing the aluminum spanner wrenches and selling them to metal recycling plants next to the yard. All they cared about was their union, they would never do anything extra to help you out, even if it was easy.

I guess I made a sweeping generalization. But I stand by it because of my awful experience in two different ship yards.
