Sleep on top of your bedding so you don't have to make the entire bed the next morning, you just tidy it up with your ruler.

And sleep in your PT gear. Both are time savers.

There was something about sleeping in my PT sweats (with the summer PT gear underneath), my entire body covered in the generic ben-gay they gave out like candy that was VERY comfortable..... warming. :D

The absolute ONLY "nice" part of my day while at OCS.

Agreed.

By far the best part of the day is when your head hits that pillow every night (or most nights)... Despite the fact that you know that you will have a painful wake up in 3 hours, it is about a solid 20-30 seconds of pure bliss (before you fall asleep). That's my advice... Every day that should be your motivation... Just to get to that end point of every day.

Conversely, the worst part of every day is at 0445 when your alarm/DI goes off. You were in the deepest sleep you'd ever been in, and now you are immediately face down on the floor doing painful pushups with your already sore body.

Either way, glad it's all in the rear view mirror :icon_smil

Go ahead and assume you're late for something.

You will get it all wrong, and you will fall on your ass...it's designed that way on purpose.

Karma's a bitch; fuck over a shipmate, and it will be remembered.

Get in shape before you get there.

ROTC and Academy guys don't care about OCS stories.

That's because you feel weak and insecure about your own history.. You feel ashamed and inadequate in deep down places you don't like to talk about at parties when you hear people speak of OCS.

It's completely understandable, I would too....... :D

I Figured... don't mind the stories. We tell them in hopes of the Academy and ROTC crowd reciprocating the favor and telling all about the hell they went through to get here, but I've yet to here any???

Here's a story: There once was this iron, and it made my uniform not look like trash when I came in to work in the morning.

If you're gonna be dumb you might as well look decent while acting like an idiot.;)
