You go to college, where you will be exactly like a MIDN as far as getting a certain designator is concerned. Which means that you will submit your request of desired designators you want when you commission, usually the end of your junior year. Then when they have the boards for those, you get selected in one of them. And that is what you are in the end.

But im prolly going ot be waivered to the 29 age limit for CORE cause im 25 right now and by the time i start college in the fall ill be going on 26. granted i already have my AA but what if I wanna be a SWO, which the cut off is 28, does that even apply if i was a core option in the first place? i also noticed CORE is for unrestricted area only so does that mean no SWO/ED?

My CO walked all the way out to the end of the flight line to pull me off a helicopter to tell me I'm going to be a pilot.

Awesome.

I really hope people are still checking this thread. The email address my husband has for SDSU is no good. He left a message for Susan Neiman as someone told me about earlier on the thread. Is there another contact he can go through?

Also, does anyone know the FASTEST colleges? As far as sending acceptance letters and stuff?? We are of course hoping for SDSU, but we are willing to go wherever we have to go. So we wanted to choose other options that will respond quickly cause we would rather have to move somewhere else than have to give up his spot because the college of choice didn't work out. Any help would be great! Thanks~ :)

The MCPON posted on his facebook page that the STA-21 results are out. I wonder if he had anything to do with the release of it today!

When I was accepted, I talked to the military director in admissions (not sure if that is his exact title), but he told me that he could have an acceptance letter faxed to me the same day I said I wanted to attend the Citadel. So basically as soon as I paid for my application fee, he would give me an acceptance letter.

ODU was fast also, but I think it took me about 2 weeks to get the official letter, I knew I was accepted before that.

That's all the info I have.

He is in powerschool. He got out and called me at work about 20 min ago so I got to be the first to share the good news! :) Congrats to you! They will probably be at NSI together. We'll have to keep in touch while they're gone

We should! At least they will be able to take their phones with them this time (unlike boot camp), but still...two months of being in SC without them...not looking forward to it!

Congrats to all who have been selected and best of luck at NSI! Good luck getting everything together and sent off to Pensacola!

Guess I can tell where you are going to college, huh? WAR EAGLE??

We grew up in Bama, and since Auburn is the only school on the list, we will not be returning for a while... We had family members say they would disown us if we went to Auburn...it's not much of a choice, more of a instilled at birth thing... haha. Roll Tide :)
