I also like the de Havilland Comet.

Modern? Gotta go with the Concorde...sorry for all the Euro haters...but that is a neat piece of technology, impractical or not.

my favorite ride has gotta be your mom. But if we're talking just airliners, I'm gonna go with the 747-400. I don't like being a pax in one, but it really is so sexy. It is like a busty gal with a big rear - stately. I'd love to fly one.
 
I don't know, I have flown the same aircraft from different airlines and had much better at one vs another. My favorite, with airline:

Emirates 777 and A330. Seats were nice and big and everything worked, the stews were nice too. The A330 video system was nicer though, bigger and better screen.

Midwest 717. Awesome airline, great seats and service.

Airlines I would love to travel on, no matter the aircraft: Singapore, Cathay Pacific, Virgin and Qantas.
