Looked at another EoTech (already got one, the M552 mounted on an AR) and some of the ACOGs for my new AR Christmas present to myself --- did a side by side comparison with all three .... went with the Leupold CQ/T with the CQ/T quick-disconnect flattop mount. I knew nothing about it prior ... I'm basically sold now:
From the Leupold website:
..."The Leupold Mark 4 1-3x14mm CQ/T is a revolutionary optical sight for tactical firearms such as the AR-15 and M16. Developed in cooperation with both the U.S. military and law enforcement agencies, the Mark 4 CQ/T combines the strengths of a red dot sight and a variable power riflescope. Incredibly tough, 100 percent waterproof, and devastatingly accurate, only the Mark 4 CQ/T is ready and able to handle the variety of close-contact situations common to both law enforcement and the military...."
