You may not believe this, but in a way, I am jealous of YOU.
Let me explain.
Just the other day, I led 4 FA-18s over the deserts of Arizona and
California. Each aircraft was armed with 12 practice bombs and
500 rounds of 20mm gun ammunition. The sortie consisted of
making multiple bombing runs on a target. Believe it or not,
of all 48 bombs, every one hit the target. The really wild thing
is that these bombs were not guided by lasers or satellites...
they were just released about 8000 feet above the ground and
gravity did the rest. You can thank the FA-18 Hornet mission
computers for some good work that day.
And, that brings me to my point.
The computers in the FA-18 (one of the most modern fighters
in the world today) are almost 25 years old! Can you imagine
what things will be like ten years from now? That is why I am
jealous. When I am old and retired, you will be flying in
something brand new like an F-22 or the F-35. And knowing
what I know, you are in for a treat.
So, even though the road ahead is long and it seems like it
will be forever until you are going to fly a fighter...keep your
eyes on the goal. It is worth it. Trust me.

That's what I was wondering.
I say we have one of our helo bubbas send him an e-mail with something like " I followed your advice and I'm not flying a jet fighter." I'd be interested to see his response!
Get your wings and have at it.
The novelty will be worn off by that time. Besides, I'm already guaranteed fighters because of his website. It just wouldn't work if I did it
