Bob Hope had Barbara Eden (Genie) and that was a HOT show in Diego Garcia in 87! Kris Kristofferson and Jerry Reed came out to Connie in 85, never seen more cowboys from out of nowhere in the middle of the IO than that! Howie, Terry, Chris and JB came out to HST in 2001 did the whole show with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Lots of others, USO is a Class Act bar none over the decades.

The coming of VIP's (DV's or Distinguished Visitors) to any ship means extra working parties. As far as supervising your people, well get used to it. It sucks, period. I'd rather be the one cleaning than the one who is supervising the cleaning.

In 18 years, I've never been to a full blown USO show... (VP Squadrons aren't as attractive as Aircraft Carriers or Firebases...). Although when I was in Afghanistan 'Hooters' sponsored a small show.... didn't bring any beer or wings but did have a few hot scantily clad waitresses from their calendar....
