Yeah, I bet it would. In some ways I regret that I am not flying this tour, but the benefits make up for it.
Are you on your first shore tour? If I recall, you said something about working with bubbleheads. some kind of staff work as the resident ASW aviator?

I feel your pain bro... 13 days a and a wakeupYep, 2 years into my first shore tour. I work in a submarine shop, where I provide them with my aviation ASW "expertise" for what it's worth.
The "ROCK" is/was/always will be Whidbey, in USN parlance at any rate ...Firewood is the callsign for Whidbey Island SAR. But that Sierra doesn't have the SAR paint job...so who knows? Unless I'm misunderstanding and the Rock is Guam, in which case it might be an HSC-25 Sierra.
