I loved the low skid TH-57A back in the late 70's with HT-8. What a great first helicopter to fly. Made running landings, cut guns, and full autos a trip! Our 58Cs have noticeably taller skids that our 57Bs too.

Well, you know what they say about fast hands…..5th Helicopter Squadron stood up at JBA yesterday - its a pretty big deal to my AF helo colleagues in the office. Good looking patch. Its being advertised as a generational, revolutionary employment. The 25 or so UH-1N's are on a scramble alert posture (with a klaxon and everything) with timed aircrew runs from the alert shack to "cocked and loaded" aircraft where the right seater can crank up as soon as they are seated and the blade tie-down quick release pulled.
Is this possible with a Hawk? We'll see.
@hscs how quickly can you crank a aircraft from cold and dark?
Yes.Would a Navy Romeo or Sierra crew be able to execute something this flawlessly?
No we are actually trained to fuck away basic PQM-level EPs.Perfectly executed rejected akeoff by this Canadian Navy S-92 crew!
