29JUNE2026 IWC Board

I have been on a much shorter timeline than most of you guys, but I also just want to hear something back. I didn’t even contact a recruiter until this past March.
 
Can't say he's alone lol. When I got to do my flight physical, i counted every week up to the mid 20's as well. One day we'll all look back and laugh at how much we paid attention to those numbers

The best example I have that I have given before is a board was scheduled, the date passed by a few days and this site was full of comments like "My recruiter said the board is done and results will be out" or "I called Paul Celestine and he said the board schedule hasn't changed".

The thing is that the senior member for that board had been at my district for a visit that week, I and others were with him almost the entire time so I asked and he said the board was moved and that it would be a few weeks behind. He also said the NRC processors can only provide info that is published even if they know the board is delayed and that really the only people that will know if a board is delayed are the board members.

I can answer this as well:

I'm assuming your TS/SCI clearance is not yet adjudicated and I am also assuming you have submitted your completed SF-86 at this point in time (which may have said you haven't been to any foreign countries in recent time iirc). During your clearance adjudication process, you will be investigated by NCIS or another similar entity and they will ask about any foreign travel and the reasons why.

Since you're not yet in the military, you shouldn't have to ask permission from anyone for leisure travel to Europe, but due to you seeking a security clearance I'd have your recruiter reach out to an SSO to verify that nothing will cause issues.

The Navy seems to be pretty relaxed as far as foreign travel goes as long as you route request chits early and don't try to go to Syria or Iraq or anything like that. But as Vrabel said, that wedding in Turkey is likely a no go. Those schools are pretty hard written for dates and won't allow leave unless it's over a longer holiday standdown (Christmas).
