I looked at the program authorization, but I dont qualify for ISEL (needed an RE3 waiver). It doesn’t really state how they grade them. It doesn’t really state if its just for undergraduate (since it says bachelors for qualifications) and what happens when you have a post graduate degree.

I’m planning to give advance notice per USERRA to maintain rehire eligibility after the initial commitment. I wouldn’t call that a military leave of absence though. I thought a leave of absence was more for reservists that get called up.

I worked for Home Depot before I joined and I 100% recommend doing it. Somehow still accrued sick leave and when the military LOA was up I got a nice fat direct deposit paying all of it out.

I'm under the impression you're technically still employed by the company for at least the legally mandated 5 years, so they should consider it a leave of absence.

I had mine ~a week after submitting my application (this is prior to my Y, roughly 4 months ago). Dunno if we go through another one post Y…? I figured it was just the initial phone call post submission and whatever followed that & then the one we have at NIFE.

(I’m assuming this is the one with the agent over the phone and not one that I’m completely oblivious to haha)

I got a hold of the NCC at millington. I was told my package is still at board and to wait 4-8 weeks for results.

And for the other active duty folks, they confirmed results will be put out through our triads.

I was also thinking, isn't the contract obligation for people in aviation longer than the time period USERRA covers?

The five year limit in USERRA is excepted if your initial commitment is longer than that. So, NA or NFO initial commitment should also be covered.
