JFC...there are two very good alternatives already available and in service, both have been flying students for a while. I really hope the Navy doesn't screw the pooch on this one but I am wary they will.

By the way, that Textron Airland design from my link was never sold, nor was it licensed to be reproduced by another company. Just sayin'...

I might be missing the obvious. Are we saying that the SNC design is a copy of the Airland? It looks like the Airland has a big ol' straight wing a la Citation and the SNC is a swept wing design....

I'm not an experienced professional, but is it really too much to ask to have the next one ready to go when the last one is about ready to be put out to pasture?
