Well we can have 1 of 2 mindsets. The doom and gloom mindset would be that there will be loads of applicants who have been waiting so long for the next board or the wishful thinking mindset of they’ll need more people because of how long it’s been! 😂

This is on point with chat gpt. You’ll quickly memorize the answers so it’s important to keep the material fresh. I just like used a variety of sources to kinda find what I lacked at ( log and word problems personally) and then for the flight info I was kinda lucky and was already a student pilot at the time so a lot of that info transferred. I have some study resources here and if anyone has more stuff could you pm me so i can add it as I like to send it to friends and people trying to take the ASTB. Depending on timing could also take an algebra class at a community college or something but that’s a big commitment when you can just do kahn academy or sum.
 
Wanted to gather some opinions here around the May board since it looks like this one is cancelled:

I will (hopefully 🤞) be finalizing my packet in mid March about 1-2 weeks before the April 3rd deadline with my lasik cooldown/meps PQ. My recruiter says I qualify for ISEL: 61, 8,9,9 MS in A.I. with 3.7gpa so I don’t need to worry about board dates. However it seems that according to others experience here that no-waiver marijuana use is an ISEL DQ no matter what (which I have).

Question: my recruiter disagrees with it being a DQ for ISEL and says I should submit ISEL anyways. If I submit for ISEL around the April 3rd deadline and it gets denied will it be reviewed at the may 4th board date? Or should I urge to submit for the regular board instead? Apologies for the brain dump just wanted some outside thoughts

it isnt a DQ from my knowledge but its a case by case basis. even if it was you would most likely get picked up.

My recruiter also was not aware that it was disqualifying and I figured I would let him submit it as ISEL anyways and just see what happened. When the processor looked over my stuff he called me and asked me a couple questions, told me I was disqualified from ISEL, and said I would be pushed to the next board.

DO NOT submit for I Sel I went through the same exact situation with my recruiter sometimes they are just as confused as us, I would’ve been picked up in the last May’s regular board and now I’m here

Well every single ISEL denial that I have sent a PM too has responded that they all admitted to experimental use of MJ.
