Dont know why your recruiter would say that tbh. Most if not all people from this forum studied for the astb before taking it whether its their first or second try. Is he trying to say that ur test score should come from a no information, no knowledge state or that there are no astb study materials? Either way its kind of weird for him to tell u not to study for it

Yeah I found it weird, I mentioned the aviation and nautical info section which is just factual knowledge as far as I know so memorization. He said everyone he’s ever known to do good does not study and just does it and is good, studying is not a factor basically.

Yeah thats like him saying a student who got a good grade and learned up to algebra can take a test on calculus right now and do well on them. You should take ur time studying for a test u can only take 3 times in ur life
