The emergency procedures in the PBM happen simultaneously during the tracking right?
You have the ability to prematurely set your knobs to the setting that instantly clears the EP once it comes up. Write down the EP procedures before the PBM when it explains it, the EP’s happen chronologically, so its actually really easy to clear them and continue tracking.

So it does it in order of fire, engine, prop every time?

Haven't seen you in a minute bro. How's it been?

Hello Squad,

63/8/6/7
Major: Finance GPA: 3.48
No prior flight experience.

I was hoping for all 7's. I have the option to attempt it again in early April to hopefully have my app submitted by May for the June OCS board.

My recruiter recommends I do not retake the test, and apply for 1) SNA 2) NFO. I want SNA. I did tell him NFO would be my second choice.

I studied for the OAR for four weeks. I did not find a tracking sim until the day before the test. If I practice more, I could probably get a 7 on it instead of a 6. I don't like the idea of risking a re-test and getting a worse score and also the chance that another part of the process (like my MEPS) slows me down to miss the application window in May for the board date in June. M

My recruiter mentioned delaying the process is a risk when considering another attempt as well as scoring lower than the first try. The scoring lower risk makes sense to me. The delay risk seems odd to me, but I do not know if that is a legit concern with the amount of bearacacy and paperwork he has to deal with. Is that a legit concern? I am a healthy man with no medical problems in my history of physicals.

TLDR: worth a retake and risking a worse score and a delay in the process? or good to full send as-is?

Thank you,
Hi all,

I went ahead an retook it and scored all 8's. I got pre-selected for SNA. Then they told me my depth perception was too poor at MEPS. I got a second opinion by an Opthamologist, who said my eyes were fine. I got him to write that in a report and send it to Big Navy, who accepted it. Now I am headed to OCS this Sunday the 16th and will head to Pensacola upon graduation, Lord willing.

My key getting a 8 on the PFAR was to use the simulator 30 min in the morning and 30 min in the evening for three weeks straight.

Using a pencil to establish a reference line on the map rotation part was also super helpful. Just find two landmarks and connect them by holding up a pencil in front of the screen.

For the academic portion, I bought three of the top rated study books on Amazon and read all of them and did every practice problem. That way, I could see the common topics between all three.

Best wishes,

Phil

What do you mean "spent seven months finding red boxes in the woods and killing fake enemies in subzero temps?"
