sTUPID qUESTIONS aBOUT ocs

What’s the pace that is typically run at OCS? My mile and a half is at 15 minute and within range for my prt, but im curious for runs that are longer if you keep that same pace or it’s slower. I’ll be starting in a winter class if that makes a difference
I think that’s good. I’m at 12 mins I’m sure at the beginning people’s pace will be a little bit slower. Longer runs I’m sure will be a slower pace

Thank you, I know the 3 interviews are required, but do the 3 interviews and LORs influence it a lot? Or is it mainly just ASTB scores? I’ve heard both
It's hard to say what goes on at the board. But to go back to your original question, the 3 officers who do your interviews will look at your entire package so you will at least look better in their eyes if you win SOY.
I believe there is also immediate selection criteria and it looks like you may qualify. I haven't read the PA in over a year so I could be wrong. When I was applying, scores were the main factor and everything else was bonus. Definitely try for all 10s on your appraisals, don't submit them if you get a low one.

Question about ribbons/medals for prior enlisted. I fully separated from the military and went to school and just recently got my selection. When I go to OCS, do I have to bring paperwork proving my awards that I have such as medals and warfare devices? Also. I have heard you can get them at the exchange on base but I have some non Navy awards that are authorized in uniform that I wasn’t ever able to find at my bases exchange. What would be the best way to obtain them now? And as for medals. I know they have to be mounted a specific way overlapping. Is that something you can get done while at OCS or should I bring my own already mounted. My recruiter doesn’t seem to have very many answers about any of this stuff. He’s new.

Bring your medals and ribbons already made. Just search thin ribbons on Google and build your rack. It orders them automatically. I brought my ribbon print out, but no one ever asked to see it. I don't think anyone cares unless you have something like a purple heart.
