I'm not trying to spread one just wondering if anyone can confirm what's being heard in the student pool. Yeah I realize we'll know for sure if they put out the official word.

"Just asking questions" amirite? In my stash job I worked directly under the O-5s/O-6s at NASC and rubbed shoulders with a lot of the LTs prior to classing up. I happen to know the staff there pretty well. Guys I know here in primary keep in touch with people who have their ears to the ground on things back where you are. I guarantee that command will fight tooth and nail to save the pool from any cuts. Their first response will probably be to tighten down on pink sheets and standards long before they kick anybody for factors outside of their control. Also, the pools have been worse than they are now in the past and CNATRA didn't run around ruining dreams. So don't put a rumor out there that implies that people will randomly get dropped. It's unnecessary and click-baity for this forum.

I know a guy who knows a guy who is friends with a dude who says his pal says all pooled students will get auto-placed in helicopters and just before winging will be transferred to army national guard aviation units across the mid-west where they will fly exactly one weekend a month and two weeks every summer. No more…no less.

But I’m not trying to start a rumor or anything.

Hope you're right! BTW I never said dropping students randomly.

Sorry you saw it that way, I'm not starting the rumor it's already out there. I was just reaching out to this community to see if any one with some horsepower could put it to rest or reach out to someone who could instead of shooting the messenger.

If your message is going to be that spicy, you gotta have better sources!

A tale as old as time, the more things change...
Well, I can confirm from a guy I work with who has a cousin who works at NAWCAD who has a brother-in-law who works at NAVAIR HQ whose wife works at PSD who talks regularly with her counterpart at NAVPERS who heard from their sister at OPNAV N1 who received an e-mail from the personnel office at NETC that they are thinking about possibly looking into the potential cutting of students. . . But that might just be scuttlebutt.
