A mess, like back in January 2021 an entire classes' worth of SNAs and SNFOs went to student pool and some of them got IG involved. A reservist HM3 was called up, he kicked ass and took names, and then his time was up and it all went back to shit. Back in 2018, the flight doc went on a for some reason unforeseen deployment and landed a plural of classes' worth of SNAs and SNFOs in student pool.

When you get there, just believe us internet strangers that the Navy is better than that awful place. You'll arrive in Pensacola, meet some guys with wings on their chest, and everything will be better.

Im just hoping that i dont get some unforseen Disqualification and am able to arrive in Pensacola, with how crazy everyone keeps saying medical is

Good Evening!

Jumping in Stupid Questions forums to address some concerns I have. I was recently accepted for OCS Supply Corps a few weeks ago and am Active Duty. Still working on my class dates and when I can be released from the Command.

-Should I be somewhat in the talks with the Chain of Command about when I am available to leave? I've been completely shutout and been told to just focus on being an OS1.
-Once OCS is completed and I'm there for Basic Supply School will my family be able to join me for the 26 week course and time well I'm in Newport?
-Is there housing available for me and my family? (Currently loaded up on the family end...wife and 4 kids)

Any other details would be greatly appreciated from anyone who has been in this situation, or knows how everything works up there!

I’m at OTCN right now and know a few people that are currently in Supply School. I know of at least one that has his wife with him in Newport. Everyone I know lives out in town so I’m not sure what options are available on base.

For married people, anyone know about the whole bring the “spouse’s original unexpired identification card” thing? For other documents, it says a court certified copy is acceptable, but it doesn’t say that for this one. Surely they don’t expect me to take my wife’s ID for 3 months lol

I brought my originals to my recruiter and they made certifies copies. Those were accepted as originals.
