Navy Reserve COVID Vaccinations by October

Spekkio

He bowls overhand.
Why would you not ban alcohol? It’s deadlier than tobacco.
I'm sorry, I must have missed the policy memo that let's me drink alcohol while at work and on duty similar to tobacco. Can you point me to where the alcohol pit is? I need to go out for a beer at 0900 and waste 30 minutes of my work day to feed a bad habit and complain about how my chief makes me work late all the time.

JFC.. what is the issue here? Get your f*cking shot, like you did for all of the other ones, including the influenza vaccination that you are required to get every year...

So everyone here has these...

And is also required to get these depending on where you are going or what you are doing...

What point do you think you’re making? Life is hard for you poor reservists so we should just hand out exemptions with no process?

An immunization was added to the schedule after assessing readiness impacts and risk. Requesting an exemption should require a process beyond saying “I don’t wanna”, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re active or reserve. The instruction is pretty liberal on which chaplain you use and how the interview is done.
Which reservist peed in your Cheerios?

My point is that everything isn’t always easily translatable to reservists. And since you were big dogging a reservist on a thread in the naval reserves sub forum, I thought it’d be best to point that out.

And to be perfectly honest with you, our lives are nowhere near as hard as you active duty martyrs. Thank you for your (continued) active duty service!

For vaccinations yes, it is easily transferrable.

I actually hope we ADSEP some folks. It will make promotions a little easier for the remainder.
First off, let me say that your statement is abhorrent. But, no real surprise that someone from your community would publicly state that. Also no surprise about the person who has liked it thus far. I hope you two can stay in the Navy forever, because I don't think you’ll be able to understand life on the outside where you can’t just order someone to do exactly what you want.

And if you ever wonder why people are running, not walking, to the exit doors of naval aviation, just look in the mirror.

I am prior Enlisted active duty and have been a Reservist living on the outside for like the last 12 years. And, as a Reservist, have had to get all of these vaccines else face ADSEP for non-compliance... This is my actual Reserve record by the way which doesn't include what I got in boot camp back in 1993.

I liked it when it was just the first line, the simple fact that it is a requirement that is the same whether active or reserve. The post was either edited to add the second paragraph, or I never read that far. I disagree with the second paragraph.

Wow, couldn’t have told based off of your kool-aid chugging posts. Do you walk around your day job demanding to see people’s vaccination records as well? Or just at the NOSC?

Pro-tip: maybe instead of relying on your competition to get adsep’d out in order to get promoted, try focusing your efforts on making your record more competitive instead.

As a super mod, you would be able to see if it was modified, right? It’s not showing that it was from my point of view.
