I didn't say that I think it's a generational problem. I said DoD is trying to solve it like it is.The point is, it's not as much a "generational problem" as you might think.

Why would you not ban alcohol? It’s deadlier than tobacco.Personally, I would support a force-wide ban in tobacco use, but I can't speak to why that policy hasn't been enacted.
I'm sorry, I must have missed the policy memo that let's me drink alcohol while at work and on duty similar to tobacco. Can you point me to where the alcohol pit is? I need to go out for a beer at 0900 and waste 30 minutes of my work day to feed a bad habit and complain about how my chief makes me work late all the time. Why would you not ban alcohol? Which reservist peed in your Cheerios? What point do you think you’re making? Life is hard for you poor reservists so we should just hand out exemptions with no process?
An immunization was added to the schedule after assessing readiness impacts and risk. Requesting an exemption should require a process beyond saying “I don’t wanna”, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re active or reserve. The instruction is pretty liberal on which chaplain you use and how the interview is done.
Or… hear me out:JFC.. what is the issue here? Get your f*cking shot
For vaccinations yes, it is easily transferrable. My point is that everything isn’t always easily translatable to reservists.
First off, let me say that your statement is abhorrent. But, no real surprise that someone from your community would publicly state that. Also no surprise about the person who has liked it thus far. I hope you two can stay in the Navy forever, because I don't think you’ll be able to understand life on the outside where you can’t just order someone to do exactly what you want. For vaccinations yes, it is easily transferrable.
I actually hope we ADSEP some folks. It will make promotions a little easier for the remainder.
I am prior Enlisted active duty and have been a Reservist living on the outside for like the last 12 years. And, as a Reservist, have had to get all of these vaccines else face ADSEP for non-compliance... This is my actual Reserve record by the way which doesn't include what I got in boot camp back in 1993.I hope you two can stay in the Navy forever, because I don't think you’ll be able to understand life on the outside where you can’t just order someone to do exactly what you want.

Wow, couldn’t have told based off of your kool-aid chugging posts. Do you walk around your day job demanding to see people’s vaccination records as well? Or just at the NOSC?I am prior Enlisted active duty and have been a Reservist living on the outside for like the last 12 years. As a super mod, you would be able to see if it was modified, right? It’s not showing that it was from my point of view.I liked it when it was just the first line, the simple fact that it is a requirement that is the same whether active or reserve. The post was either edited to add the second paragraph, or I never read that far. I disagree with the second paragraph.
Yep.As a super mod, you would be able to see if it was modified, right? It’s not showing that it was from my point of view.
Not sure I’m following. It is now the standard response when someone isn’t getting their way.
I misunderstood your post. Deleted. Not sure I’m following.
