How is that dishonest? He’s also not honest.
I didn’t say lie on a job application. I said don’t volunteer that information unless it’s asked.
And they won’t ask cause they can’t.
How is that dishonest? He’s also not honest.
There’s a reason why you don’t have to answer when they ask. And they’re not supposed to ask.Where on your job application does it ask if you're a reservist?
Only because I missed it as I do not pay much attention to this thread.Do you think it’s weird that @HAL Pilot doesnt call me out when I call you an idiot?
Grab a beer with me in Hawaii next time. Meet you at 939.Only because I missed it as I do not pay much attention to this thread.
But it’s very telling you are now publicly bragging about your ability to hide behind your super mod status to do things that would have us mere mortals censored.
That and you’re as much of an idiot as he is so you just cancel each other out. (It’s 50-50 if this is censored or allowed to remain in an attempt to show “see we treat everyone inclyding mods the same”.
we have hired the entire range from those who did 4 years active and stayed in the reserves for entry level positions, to those in executive roles making the range of 6 figures. We just extended an offer to a younger reservist who's pay range will be 80 up to 110K depending on performance bonuses, there was a USAF reservist that several years ago "sat" (he worked remote most of the time) about 100 feet from me who was making 140-160K or more with bonuses until he was hired away from us.And are these positions paying 120-150k a year?
Just wondering. Cause I saw a lot of jobs posted regarding hiring mil spouses and reservists and once talking to the recruiter it was a salary of around 70-90k.
That is unfortunate if you are getting shit for it why not look for a new employer? It's not bullshit.
And guess who I work for as a civilian. The U.S. Navy. Every single civilian supervisor I've had so far in my GS career hated that I was a reservist. One even told me they wouldn't hire a reservist the next time. And I'm not some low level employee. I'm considered a senior civilian in my career and still get shit for it.
The feds have golden handcuffs on me.That is unfortunate if you are getting shit for it why not look for a new employer?
Gotta be honest, I know the plural of “anecdote” isn’t “data,” but I have a hunch this is more of a GS problem than a private sector problem. The feds have golden handcuffs on me.
I worked in multiple commands across the Navy as a GS civilian. None of my bosses liked my reserve employment. A few tolerated it but most hated it and made it known.
To be fair, the active duty people I worked with didn't care and didn't hassle me. But, I never really had a prior military or active duty boss during my GS career. The GS civilians who were in my immediate COC the issue. None of them served and their perception was that a reservist is just creating extra work for them.
I most definitely agree. My old boss straight up told me that it should be illegal for someone to get a GS pension and reserve pension.Gotta be honest, I know the plural of “anecdote” isn’t “data,” but I have a hunch this is more of a GS problem than a private sector problem.
About the level of responsibility I’d expect from you at this point.Where on your job application does it ask if you're a reservist?
You're opinion is less than worthless regarding reservist employment and civilian career progression. Stick to active duty issues.About the level of responsibility I’d expect from you at this point.
I said “acquainted,” not “drinking buddies.”Maybe I should be talking to you about job opportunities.
You’re a dishonest piece of shit, whom nobody should hire, ever. How dare you use your military status to fuck over employers. Oh, wait… are you just trolling again? It’s hard to tell sometimes. You're opinion is less than worthless regarding reservist employment and civilian career progression. Stick to active duty issues.
I think you got your posters mixed up.You’re a dishonest piece of shit, whom nobody should hire, ever. How dare you use your military status to fuck over employers. Oh, wait… are you just trolling again? It’s hard to tell sometimes.
It’s a major problem in the GS sector and prob more then private.Gotta be honest, I know the plural of “anecdote” isn’t “data,” but I have a hunch this is more of a GS problem than a private sector problem.
