whoops typo meant to type "thou" for "thousand"
hahaha, I looked at the receipt, and to move my furniture, which was just a king size bed, a dresser and a night stand, plus my 8 guitars and a couple boxes of clothing....my car being shipped, and a cash stipend of 3.5k they give you....it was a total of like 12 grand.....so yeah...given that I will probably be going to OCS hopefully within the next 6-9 months, I'd rather not have to pay that

smart move; I was looking into getting tuition reimbursement at work but since that requires minimum 1 additional year to not have to pay back full amount, I stopped the process once I got pro-rec'd. jokes on me if I can't ship out until FY23 i guess.

Out of curiosity. What is everyone's opinion about putting SNA/NFO on my application if I really want to be the one flying? Is it worth putting NFO if I really want to serve, but would I be taking the possibility of being the person flying the aircraft out of the picture?

If you want to be the one flying put down SNA. If you choose both options, they could select you for NFO and now you lost the opportunity to be a pilot.

Anyone correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like a lot of people from previous boards that applied for both designators were selected for NFO and given an OCS date much sooner than the SNA selects. If you would not be happy as an NFO then I would only apply SNA.

The ASTB score averages are pretty high this board compared to previous boards according to the spreadsheet
To be fair, this is only air warriors members that filled out the spreadsheet. This is a national board and I believe that members on air warrior's scored higher than the national average. That's why it's probably higher than the last average.

So my OR says he submitted my package and he’ll keep checking the notes from Millington to see if they need anything else, otherwise I’m good to go for the August board. Seems like on the last board thread, there was a number going around that you could call and check in with the guy that handles all of the package submissions to make sure yours made it in. Does anyone know about that or have the number? I’m sure my package is where it’s supposed to be, I’m just a little paranoid at this point like I’m sure we all are and want to verify lol

If you are working with an OR don't be "that guy" that calls NRC, or your NRD CO, AOPS, and OR, could be "those guys" that get asked by NRC why a civilian is calling NRC.

Sorry, didn’t mean to insinuate I wanted to call NRC. In the January board thread, everyone was checking in with a guy called like Mr. Ken or something like that who I understood to be a civi that handled the packages for the aviation board and could let you know if your package had actually made it that far. I certainly don’t want to jump over my chain of command so if its actually frowned upon to get ahold of this guy, I won’t do it. I was just under the impression that it was a normal thing to do. If it is not, then I stand corrected.

OK for those on active duty as they don't have an OR, your OR can look into the system and give you a status, AD guys don't have that option.
