Stuck in ELP? Heck, when I first got with the airlines, I was on reserve in ELP, although I lived in SAN. So I needed an ELP crash house.Sheesh. Definitely not a place you want to get stuck. Probably the only place worse would be Four Corners.
So I found on a bulletin board a flight attendant who rented out part of her big house to other commuting F/As and me. I'd sleep in late, only to find some beautiful F/A laying out in the backyard topless catching some sun. There was only one other guy who lived there. But he owned a great bar downtown. Forays across the border were common and safe then too. I almost hated to commute home. Being "stuck" in ELP for a year was great!
