I got the PRK surgery last March, the recovery time was a couple of weeks until I could actually read clearly. I got my flight physical in July and during the consult with the flight surgeon, he said that there have been recent updates to what the Navy is now accepting for SNA's. He specifically mentioned wavefront PRK as being a disqualifier as of May 06. I would ensure that you check which PRK you are getting and research it to ensure you are not disqualifying yourself.
For applicants the navy is
now recommending wavefront guided. i checked it all out. it says so on the waiver guide and i contacted nami aswell. thanxs for the heads up though.

How bad is your vision right now? In any case good luck dude.
My eyes are only 20/80. Not much correction needed. I also found a really great surgeon. Shes a cornea specialist and teaches other docs how to perform the surgery at San Diego State i believe. She also understands how big of a decision this is for me, so i feel pretty comfortable. Rossi, you going to the game on sunday. I think i scored a ticket off my uncle. hes had season tix for years and i always get his extras when he or his family cant make it. Anyhow, GO CHARGERS!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the good thoughts everyone.
By the way, how do you quote two different people in one post?
