Pro Rec'd SNA for BDCP (September 25th of my senior year. Apparently you can get in later these days.)

- 3.65 GPA
- Boston College
- Marketing/Economics major
- 7/8/7 60 ASTB
- Became best buddies with my recruiter (key)
- 9 LOR's from professors, my dad and my uncle (retired from the navy), employers, high school teacher
- Retreat leader at BC
- 1.5 flight hours (but I didn't even bother putting this on the app. anyway)
Sidenote: not much of an athlete, so there's hope for you if you are in my boat. Advice for you: do what you can with sports because they like to see it. I do three intramural sports and I did the downhill ski team (captain) in high school and track in high school.

65/8/9/9 ASTB

LORS: 2x high school teachers, 1x thesis advisor, 1x Aerospace department head at Princeton, 1x O-1 from the academy who's currently in API (it's no O-5 but I've known him my whole life)

Unfortunately, I don't have much in the way of flight hours, but I've got plenty of leadership and athletic extracurriculars.

Applying for SNA and SNFO out of NRD Phoenix.

What did you use to study? 7 pts is a good jump! I have a OAR of 44 as well and I know I can do better.
I had one advantage and that is my wife is a math teacher. But really I studied the ARCO and burned my cliffs book. Also, make sure you practice by timing yourself. The first test I ran out of time in the math portion leaving me to guess randomly. Pick 30 random math questions, set a timer for 25 minutes and have at it. Also, use every math section in the ARCO as well. This way you dont just memorize the answers in the ASTB chapter as you move along, which was a problem for me. Download the Marine study guide with the f-18 on the cover. It gives you the formulas for the mechanical sections. PM me if you need anything.
