Morning Everyone,
I am scheduled for the 4 May 2018 Intel/CW Boards. My recruiter has been a little vague, possibly unsure, of the next steps. I recently completely all of my paperwork, scored competitively on the OAR and provided three (3) Letters of Recommendation. However, when I asked my recruiter what I can do to prepare for the boards he told me nothing and he will be in touch with me shortly before 4 May. Additionally, he said that he was not aware of the timeline between being selected and reporting to Newport.
In the reading that I have done, it seems that some of the popular questions from the Board are: Strengths v Weaknesses, Why Navy, Why Officer, Tell us a bit about what you know about the Navy, Tell us a time where you had to lead a team over more experienced personnel, Conflict resolution experience. Are there any other questions that might pop-up?
Also, if selected, what is the timeline to report to Newport? I have seen that it is about 5 months after the board date, with the FINSEL letter provided the following month (therefore, I would report in October). Is that usually the case? I ask because I am getting married in late-September.
Thank you, all, for your help. I appreciate it.
