20/15 is better than 20/20.

It means that at 20 feet, you can distinguish what a letter is at 20 feet, where a normal person would need 15 feet of distance to read it.

20/20 is "average"

20/40, say, is that you need 20 feet to distinguish a letter where an "average" person would need only 40 feet.

yep, 20/15 is better than 20/20, but I don't think the navy will let you in since you have better vision requirements. J/k. I don't think you have to worry about your eyes anymore.
