Hey I just watched it again... she swung at the 2nd officer right before she was Tasered. That's assault. She got what she deserved.

S*** I missed that...zap her ass!

the past three times i've been pulled over i've gotten out of the car before they have even stopped..have i been tazed? no. there is no damn law that says i cant open my door or get out. a cop may not like it but its not a against the law..and if its not against the law..i can do it whenever i want.
Yeah, you're right that there's no law - it's just common sense. Try that in LA county and those guys will have you on the deck with their feet on your face. The ROE are a little different out here, so short of an all out "Rodney King" free for all, they give the cops alot of leeway. It's so easy not to piss off the cops, but it never ceases to amaze me how many people dig their own grave by acting stupidly. For the record, I don't think the cop in the movie should have Tazered her, but she did richly deserve it (I enjoyed every pitiful whimper).

Good times,

Brett

"OK, it's over and done with. We've been tazed before, we know it's not that bad."

Best line ever.

If you live in D.C or Prince George's county M.D, you will definitely understand why you should not move once you are pulled over. If you don't want the officer to think otherwise, just stay calm and let further instructions come from him/her. In a day an age where everyone is got a handgun, what should I think when you try to get out of the car? ROE is different everywhere you go, the crime rate usually dictates alot of this things. Offcourse in a community where they only have an officer die in the line of duty once in 30 years will frown at that, but one in which at least 5 officers die every year would think that is necessary.

Tazers are not harmful and I don't think the officer was wrong. If you want to talk sh!t to a man in uniform with a gun and a badge, then you deserve it.

I thought she sounded like a mama goat delivering baby goat.

Some of you people need to get real. Talking sh!t to a police officer is in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM an excuse to use force. What got her tased was resisting arrest and her taking a swing at the other police officer.

If I was talking crap to an officer (not that I would), and that's all I was doing, and he tased me, I would sue the SH!T out of him and the department.

or just realize that talking to **** to a cop is going to get you nowhere fast. just suck up whatever the ticket it and deal with the judicial aspect. the enforcement side of the house doesn't care about your bs excuses or want to hear how you would enforce the law so much better. take your 'help im being repressed' or 'im gonna sue your ass' crap to a lawyer. yelling it at an on-edge cop isn't going to solve anything.

personally, i would have had no problem whatsoever if that cop fvcking capped her ass. if you're stupid enough to start cryin on your cellphone and ignoring cop orders, then take a swing at them, three strikes pal... you're outta the gene pool. this is also the reason I can never be a cop... I would shoot stupid people too quickly.

As entertaining as that video is, it's probably a good case for use of excessive force. I am hardly taking the side of the woman, she's a retard (must be Escambia county).
Boynton Beach PD in south Florida. Most of us from up in the panhandle aren't that dumb (note: I said MOST). Unfortunately, stupid people are universal. "I'm callin' somebody." Yeah, tell 'em you'll call 'em back from central booking.

Respect goes both ways. If you have it for me i'll give it back in kind and vice versa. It seems in this video both the officer and the lady had attitude problems.

The lady definately had problems but that is still a law suit in the making. The policeman had NO right to use a tazer for such a minor incident. If the woman has any brain she will sue the sh#t out of the department.

Nonetheless, it was rather amusing lol.

Showed the video to a cop i know to garner his opinion.
Here's what he had to say.

"It was justified in that the officer was attempting to affect an arrest. He gave the subject multiple verbal commands (in compliance with a standard Use of Force policy). The verbal commands didn't work. The next step on the use of force (depending on the agency) is "soft" weapons such as O/C or the Taser. Barring that, the officer reached into the vehicle to escort the suspect out of the vehicle. The suspect the physically resisted by pulling away. This gave the officer even more justification in deployment of the taser. He went "beyond" what was required of him to affect the arrest peacefully without harming himself or the subject. The subject refused that help and so the officer went to the next level of force: the taser. His alternative would have been chemical agents (if he had any- most that carry the taser now I see stop carrying O/C) or using strikes or "hard" hand control techniques. The taser was the safest way to go since once it's deployed, there is no lingering effect like O/C nor does it risk potential serious trauma or bone damage, like impact weapons or hard hand control.

You must affect an arrest. Your only weapons are your hands, your baton, your taser, your O/C, or your firearm. The subject is refusing to obey your verbal commands and even says "No" when instructed to step out of the vehicle (a vehicle that can become a deadly weapon at any moment). What would you do?"

Its a discussion forum. I didn't realize I didn't have a right to my opinion. Oh, also, I have been accepted into George Washington University Law (not that it really matters). Its one of the top 20 programs in the country.

Nonetheless, I still didn't realize I couldn't post my OPINION on a discussion forum.

An opinion would be phrased using an "I feel" or "in my opinion." You made it sounds as though you were making a statement of fact. They'll teach you how to be precise with words in Law School. :D
