I applied for and received a quota for 2015 earlier this year. If I were your CCC, I would highly recommend applying with the goal of getting into OCS as a possible alternative to STA-21. If you have any questions about the application process, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll help however I can.
Are the slots already full until 2015? I'm approaching my 12 month window to my PRD and was hoping if I got picked up, it would be at my PRD.
It would be really nice if we could get results in the earlier weeks of October this year. Last year was just too painful. Board starts in a couple weeks!!! Let the restlessness begin!!
Hey there Popo .... Good to hear from ya ... I just finished two classes this past Sunday and now I'm taking a break until after results ... I have 2 more classes left to graduate!I remember wanting the results to come out early last year so that I could drop my college classes without penalty. The results came out past the drop date, which was ok since I only made alt. anyway. However, this year, my class' drop date will be on OCT 28th, giving the results plenty of time to come out.
On a good note, AUG is almost over. Less than two months left!!!

I don't want to talk about it. hahaThe restlessness began July 1st, but I'm sure it will grow in intensity during late September and early October!

What is the approximate time frame between the selection results and heading to NSI? I've read that it depends on the program you are selected for, but didn't find a time frame...
I would say, at this point with only 2 classes to go, you might have just been better off going for OCS. However, in your position I would have still applied this year. I wouldn't want to miss out on an opportunity. It is actually going to take you longer to get a commissioning through this program, than it would if you were to go OCS.
I'm applying for Pilot Option/Core. I wouldn't mind a heavy course load, but isn't 3 years (including summer terms) exactly the same pace as a regular 4 year program? I'm not completely aware yet of how semesters go at universities, but I was thinking 9mos x 4yrs == 12mos x 3yrs == 36mos. My only college credit is the military experience on my JST and a few CLEPs (one of which I KNOW they accept). If I take the whole 3 years at college, I would be commissioned 3 months before my 29th birthday (which is the limit for Pilot and Core Options).
I submitted my application to Oregon State on May 02, but the major holdup was getting my high school transcript to them. I'm from Corvallis, OR (home of OSU), which is the main reason I started looking at that school; the sweet academic program is just a bonus
